Leadership at Mother Duck
At Mother Duck, leadership is about walking alongside others, building capability and creating environments where children and educators can thrive. We believe children are capable, competent and active participants in their own learning. Our philosophy and Ways of Being and Doing guide how we build relationships, lead curriculum and create environments that honour children's voices, agency, wellbeing and belonging.
Our Early Childhood Teachers play a vital role in designing and delivering meaningful, inquiry-based learning experiences, strengthening educational practice and supporting children's learning and development.
Our Educational Leaders, known within Mother Duck as Pedagogical Coordinators, work alongside educators as mentors, coaches, critical friends and collaborators. They inspire reflective practice, support professional growth and guide curriculum development across their services.
Both roles offer opportunities to contribute to our wider professional learning community and influence the future of early childhood education at Mother Duck.
What makes Mother Duck different?
Genuine career progression We're committed to growing our own leaders. Our succession planning creates opportunities to move into pedagogical leadership, Centre Management, operational leadership and, for those with entrepreneurial aspirations, future Mother Duck franchise ownership.
