About the Role

New Edge Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team based in Cairns, QLD.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical projects, working closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage electrical projects from planning through to completion

- Manage project budgets, costs, forecasts and financial performance

- Review and understand project scopes, specifications, drawings and contractual requirements

- Develop and manage project programs, milestones and critical dates

- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, suppliers and materials

- Provide leadership and direction to Site Managers, Supervisors and project teams

- Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting

- Manage variations, procurement and project documentation

- Liaise with builders, clients, consultants and other contractors

- Identify and manage project, commercial and delivery risks

- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, project specifications and quality requirements

- Maintain a robust focus on Workplace Health and Safety

- Manage testing, commissioning, handover and project close-out





- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Proven experience managing electrical projects within the construction industry

- Strong experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical projects

- Electrical trade qualification and/or relevant electrical engineering or construction qualification

- Strong understanding of electrical services, construction drawings and specifications

- Experience managing project budgets, procurement, variations and subcontractors

- Strong commercial awareness and contract administration skills

- Excellent planning, organisation and time-management skills

- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills

- Ability to lead site and project teams

- Strong understanding of WHS requirements

- Strong computer literacy and project administration skills
- A positive, professional and solutions-focused approach
