Our client is a well-established provider of electrical and project services within the mining and resources sector. With a strong reputation for delivering safe and reliable shutdown and project support across Queensland coal operations, they are seeking experienced Electricians to join their team for upcoming works at Goonyella.
Your recent role
We are currently seeking experienced and safety-focused Electricians to join a major shutdown at Goonyella Mine. Successful candidates will work across substation maintenance and project works, supporting critical shutdown activities. Positions are available across multiple crews, working 12-hour shifts on a rotating roster through to December 2026.
While candidates already passed out for BMA sites are highly regarded, applications from those with current BMA Core Inductee status are also encouraged.
What you'll need to succeed
- Current Electrical Licence
- Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
- Current Coal Board Medical
- White Card
- Confined Space & Gas Test Atmosphere certificate
- Current Class C Driver's Licence (preferred)
- Ability to comply with BMA and Goonyella site-specific procedures
- BMA pass out preferred, however BMA Core Inductees are encouraged to apply
What you'll get in return
This is an excellent opportunity to secure shutdown work with a respected contractor on a major BMA operation. You will receive a competitive base rate of $68.77 per hour plus applicable allowances and penalties, while gaining valuable experience working on a large-scale mining shutdown. Immediate starts are available, with rostered work extending through to December 2026.
