To support this transition, we are seeking an experienced Electrification Technician based in Orange (NSW or Neerabup (WA) to play a critical technical role across electrified mining platforms throughout the APAC region.
The Role
You will act as a subject matter expert across mobile and fixed electrification systems, supporting project delivery, operational readiness, and field reliability for customers and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include
- Technical leadership across mine and tunnel electrical infrastructure, chargers, LV/HV BEVs, hybrid-electric and electric drilling platforms
- Supporting electrification projects, recent product introductions, and electric conversions
- Providing expert field support for diagnostics, tooling, safety, air conditioning, and training
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards (AS), IEC standards, and electrical safety requirements
- Advising on safe handling and storage of dangerous goods (DG)
- Acting as a key technical contact for customers across performance, safety, and reliability
- Supporting regional and international projects across APAC
About You You are a hands-on, solutions-focused professional who thrives in fast-paced,
high-pressure environments and enjoys working at the forefront of electrification technology.
Essential
- High voltage electrical qualification and unrestricted electrical licence
- Experience with HV mobile equipment in mining or heavy industry
- Strong knowledge of AS and IEC standards
- Refrigeration experience (automotive or similar)
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally
Highly Regarded
- RHL (air conditioning and refrigeration licence)
- HV switching, PLC/SCADA experience
- DG training and mine site competencies
- Experience with underground and surface mining equipment
