The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service & Maintenance Electrician to join our Service Division on a permanent full-time basis. This position is ideal for individuals located in the Greater Brisbane or Northern Gold Coast.

As a Service & Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, plant and assets for our clients. You will attend different sites throughout the day, fault-find and diagnose electrical issues, undertake repair works, test and commission.



Small to medium installation work is also performed as required.

You will play an essential part in our 24/7 breakdown and maintenance services by participating in the on-call roster, with overtime pay and allowances included for all worked hours.

Key Responsibilities

As a Service & Maintenance Electrician, you will:

- Provide exceptional service across various projects in the greater Brisbane region.

- Work closely with clients to deliver tailored electrical and data and communication solutions.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain detailed documentation through SimPRO.

- Participate in the on-call roster (roughly every 6 – 8 weeks)

- Supervise, coach, and mentor our apprentices, actively contributing to their learning and skill development.

- Represent M2 Electrical’s commitment to excellence in every interaction.

Ideally, you bring:
- Experience working on sites with strict Health, Safety, & Environment requirements and thorough documentation.

- Strong ability to plan, coordinate, and think ahead.

- Confidence communicating with customers, site contacts and teams.

- Commitment to safety, quality, and high workmanship standards.

- A mindset of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality electrical solutions, including installations, upgrades, and fault resolution.

- Plan upcoming work to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.





- Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment ahead of time.

- Effectively manage labour and materials on site, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with project budgets.

- Lead and support the site team by setting clear expectations, driving performance, and maintaining high standards of workmanship.

- Coach and mentor apprentices to build their skills, ensuring appropriate supervision and ongoing development.

- Maintain a safe, compliant, and high-quality work environment by proactively managing risks and ensuring all work meets required standards.

What You Will Need

- Current unrestricted Electrical Licence

- Construction Induction White Card

- Current CPR / LVR certification

- Manual Driver Licence

- Current Police Check (within the last 12 months) or the ability to obtain one.

- Working at Heights (highly regarded)
