OCE (Optical Communications & Electrical) Services has been operating for more than 25 years and holds Gold Master Electrician accreditation. We specialise in commercial electrical, data, communications cabling and optical-fibre work, primarily supporting the university and education sectors.

We’re looking for an experienced Electrician to join our close-knit, family-run team. This is a permanent opportunity offering clean, well-organised work across two main sites, with limited travel between locations.

About the role

You’ll undertake commercial electrical and communications work across the electrical and service sectors.

Your responsibilities will include

- Completing commercial electrical installations and service work
- Installing data and communications cabling
- Undertaking optical-fibre work, where experienced
- Reading and working from plans, drawings and job specifications
- Testing, fault-finding and completing quality checks




- Working in line with AS/NZS 3000:2018 and relevant safety requirements
- Communicating professionally with customers, site contacts and the team
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
- Completing job documentation and service records

Optical-fibre experience is not essential, training will be provided.

About you

You’ll be a highly experienced, reliable and customer-focused Electrician who takes pride in delivering quality commercial work.

You must have

- Current Queensland Electrical Workers Licence
- Current Open Cabling Licence
- Current Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)
- Current manual driver’s licence
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000:2018
- Experience in commercial electrical and data installations
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
