We invest in and advocate for artists, creative work, creative organisations and cultural participation, so all Australians can express their creative potential, take part in arts and culture, and experience the diverse stories of our nation. Our purpose is to champion and invest in human creativity, culture and connection for all.

Our Purpose

We strive to establish and sustain a diverse and inclusive workforce, fostering a culturally protected and supportive environment where everyone can bring their whole self to work.

Your role

As our Enterprise Architect, you’ll lead Creative Australia’s enterprise architecture capability by aligning technology, data, applications, security and integration decisions with organisational strategy, cyber security requirements and future business needs. Here’s what it looks like:

- Aligning technology platforms, applications, integrations and data flows with Creative Australia’s strategy, business priorities, IT operating model and digital service needs.

- Defining and running architecture governance processes that support sound decision-making, reduce duplication, manage risk and ensure technology changes are reviewed before major investment or implementation.
- Developing and maintaining lifecycle plans for key platforms, applications, integrations and infrastructure, identifying technical debt, duplication, support risks and opportunities to simplify the environment.
- Providing solution design advice for new systems, system changes, integrations, procurement activities and major technology projects to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and fit for purpose.
- Guiding integration planning across Creative Australia’s multi-vendor environment, ensuring systems and services are designed for secure, reliable and well-documented data flows.
- Working with the Cyber Security Manager, Service Integration Manager, Manager, Risk & Assurance, and external providers to ensure architecture decisions support cyber security, privacy, resilience, business continuity and relevant government security requirements.
- Providing architecture advice on AI tools and emerging technologies, including fit with Creative Australia’s systems, data, security, governance and operating model.
- Supporting the Director IT in procurement and vendor assessment by reviewing technical proposals, architecture assumptions, integration requirements, lifecycle costs, security implications and transition risks.
- Maintaining clear architecture artefacts, including system maps, integration views, platform inventories,

lifecycle plans and decision records to improve visibility of Creative Australia’s technology environment.
- Working with business areas, IT, Business Systems, Business Intelligence and external providers to understand business needs and translate them into clear technology options and architecture advice.
- Identifying practical improvements to systems, platforms, integrations and architecture practices that improve reliability, reduce cost, reduce risk and support better service delivery.
