ByProgress Pty Ltd BYPROGRESS PTY LTD, trading as MONSTER BALL AMUSEMENTS AND HIRE, is seeking an experienced Equipment Hire Manager to oversee its amusement and event equipment hire operations in Perth, Western Australia. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing equipment inventory, quality, maintenance and availability, negotiating hire agreements, coordinating equipment procurement and supervising staff involved in hire operations. The role involves planning and managing equipment hire activities to ensure operational efficiency, compliance with safety requirements and reliable service delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities Plan, organise and manage the daily operations of the equipment hire business. Manage equipment inventory, stock levels, quality and availability to meet customer hire requirements. Oversee the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of inflatable amusements, mechanical rides and associated hire equipment.

Ensure equipment complies with applicable safety regulations, Australian Standards and relevant industry requirements. Coordinate equipment hire scheduling, allocation, dispatch and returns to maintain efficient equipment utilisation. Negotiate equipment hire agreements with customers, including hire rates, terms, conditions and equipment requirements.

Oversee the preparation, administration and management of equipment hire contracts and related documentation. Source and procure amusement equipment, replacement parts, accessories and maintenance supplies from suppliers and vendors. Assess equipment requirements and coordinate procurement to maintain adequate inventory and operational readiness.

Manage the recruitment, selection,



training and performance of staff involved in equipment hire operations. Supervise operational staff, allocate responsibilities and monitor work performance to maintain service standards. Develop and implement operational procedures for equipment handling, storage, inspection and maintenance.

Monitor equipment condition, utilisation and operational performance and implement improvements where required. Maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and service providers to support effective equipment hire operations. Maintain accurate equipment inventory, maintenance, hire agreement and operational records.

Skills and Experience AQF Diploma or Advanced Diploma in business management, operations management or a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience. Demonstrated experience in equipment hire management, rental operations or a comparable equipment hire environment. Strong knowledge of equipment inventory management, quality control and maintenance coordination.

Experience managing equipment hire agreements, customer negotiations and contractual arrangements. Demonstrated ability to source equipment, replacement parts and supplies from vendors. Proven experience supervising, training and managing operational staff.

Understanding of workplace health and safety regulations, equipment safety standards and industry compliance requirements.



Solid organisational, operational planning and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills.

Ability to manage equipment availability, operational priorities and competing hire requirements. Proficiency in equipment hire management systems, inventory records and operational reporting.

Experience in amusement, inflatable or event equipment hire operations is highly desirable.
