The opportunity

We’re looking for experienced Excavator Operators for FIFO opportunities across Karratha and Newman, working a 2:1 roster, 2 weeks on, 1 week off, with both day and night shift available.

You know your machine, you know how to work safely around an active site, and you can get the job done without needing someone looking over your shoulder.

If you're already BHP or Rio Tinto inducted, even better. That experience will be highly regarded.

Your role

Depending on the project and site requirements, your responsibilities will include:

- Operating excavators safely and efficiently across mining and civil environments
- Completing excavation, loading, trenching and general earthworks as required
- Conducting pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks
- Working safely around mobile plant, machinery and site personnel
- Following site procedures, SWMS and safety requirements
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and other operators
- Maintaining strong production standards throughout your shift

About you To be considered, you’ll need:

- Minimum 18 months' experience in a similar Excavator Operator role
- Demonstrated experience operating excavators in relevant mining or civil environments
- Strong commitment to site safety and secure operating procedures
- Ability to work effectively across 11.5-hour shifts
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical
- Relevant operating tickets and site requirements for the assignment
- BHP and/or Rio Tinto inductions are highly regarded
- A reliable, professional attitude and ability to work as part of a site team
