Kalamazoo Resources is entering a defining phase as it advances its 100%-owned 1.44Moz Ashburton Gold Project toward development as a significant recent Australian gold operation.

With the Pre-Feasibility Study well progressed, and on the back of highly successful Growth and Resource Definition drilling campaigns, Kalamazoo is embarking on a new era of Resource Growth and Discovery at Ashburton. We are seeking exceptional geologists wishing to either commence or progress their leadership journey - to grow a high-functioning exploration team and lead our Resource Definition, Growth and Discovery programs.

Reporting to the Exploration Director and working closely with the site, study and corporate teams, the Exploration Manager – Ashburton will lead KZR's exploration programs to meet our expected Resource Growth profile. You will be an exceptional exploration leader, with a sound technical background and highly developed field leadership and program delivery experience.

The Ashburton Gold Project

Defined 1.44Moz gold system. Redefining a forgotten province-scale opportunity.

Ashburton is a 100%-owned, 1.44Moz Au resource on the southern edge of the Pilbara Craton. Our first development project at Mt Olympus is well underway as a high-grade open pit development, with three further defined sulphide resources and an oxide resource at Xanadu already in the ground, giving the incoming team multiple immediate growth opportunities.

This field was historically explored and prioritised for oxide resource in a much lower gold price environment - a strategy that made sense then and leaves obvious value on the table now.

Kalamazoo is collecting modern, high-quality data sets over ground that has never had the benefit of it, and we expect a substantial uplift from applying contemporary exploration thinking to a system that has been under-explored by modern standards.

About the role

Ideal for experienced or emerging leaders with strong safety, technical and operational management ability. You will oversee Kalamazoo's exploration and contractor teams, driving safe program delivery, resource definition and operational excellence across all workstreams.

You will own exploration targeting, data integrity and program execution across resource definition, growth and discovery - seeing your concepts tested and developed in the field. You will have a strong focus on leading the teams responsible for day-to-day program delivery, including diamond drilling, RC programs and early-stage reconnaissance field work.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the safe, efficient and timely execution of exploration programs across Ashburton, aligned with Kalamazoo's exploration strategy
- Drive disciplined planning, execution and review of field activities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and community standards
- Drive geological interpretation, target generation and resource modelling to grow the Ashburton Gold Project
- Maintain high-quality geoscientific data acquisition, validation and integration into geological models and databases
- Develop and manage exploration budgets, contractor performance and program schedules against the Resource Growth profile
- Build respectful relationships with Traditional Owners,



local communities and regional stakeholders
- Mentor and develop the exploration team, building capability and a strong safety culture

Qualifications & Experience

- Tertiary qualifications in Geology, with at least 12 years' exploration and/or mining geology experience
- Demonstrated program leadership and field delivery across all stages of exploration
- Archean/lode gold experience, with structural, geochemical and geophysical targeting skills
- Resource estimation and JORC Code 2012 familiarity
- Advanced Leapfrog modelling skills highly desirable; proficiency with GIS and 3D geological software
- Current un-restricted driver's licence and Senior First Aid certificate
- Membership of AIG and/or AusIMM
- Current statutory supervisor qualifications under the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022
- Exploration Manager appointment. On joining Kalamazoo, if you have not yet attained, you will agree to undertake necessary requirements to be appointment as Exploration Manager, and you must be willing to hold the Exploration Manager role as required under the WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022
- Full and unrestricted eligibility for employment in Australia is essential
