Hours: 3 days per week (Thursday, Friday & Saturday)

Duration: Long-term position

Typical Hours: Approximately 10:00am to 4:00pm (4-5 hours per day), with some flexibility as required.

About the Role

Our Future Focus is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Disability Support Worker to provide support to an intelligent, engaging, and conversational NDIS participant with Brittle Bone Syndrome.

This is a fantastic chance for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and supporting a participant to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Driving and operating a disability-specific vehicle
- Assisting with communication access and community participation
- Supporting with household and home duties
- Providing practical day-to-day assistance to promote independence
- Building a positive, respectful, and long-term working relationship with the participant
- Identifying tasks that need attention and taking initiative where appropriate

Please note: This role does not involve personal care.

- Has clear and strong English communication skills
- Is reliable, organised, and professional
- Demonstrates initiative and can work independently
- Enjoys conversation and building genuine connections
- Is patient, respectful, and person-centred in their approach
- Holds a current driver's licence and is confident driving a disability-specific vehicle
- Is committed to providing consistent, long-term support
