About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance team member to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis and compliance outcomes as part of a broader finance function.

Key responsibilities

- Preparation of monthly financial results
- Analytical review of results and provision of commentary to management
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations for general ledger accounts
- Maintain fixed asset registers and relevant depreciation postings and schedules
- Maintenance of cost centres and chart of accounts
- Process stock write-offs and revaluations as required, including annual stocktake analysis
- Assist with budget preparation
- Assist business leaders with monthly forecasting
- Assist with monthly reporting pack preparation
- Responsible for monthly BAS preparation and lodgement

About you





- Previous experience supporting finance activities within a retail, wholesale or inventory-based business
- Deep understanding of month-end processes, journals and general ledger reconciliations
- Solid numerical and analytical skills, with an interest in understanding what the numbers mean for the business
- Exposure to inventory, fixed assets, GST/FBT returns or audit processes is a bonus, but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and a willingness to learn and meet reporting deadlines
