Akaliko Global is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Fitter Machinist to join our facility in Bassendean, Western Australia.

With a global supply chain specialising in the manufacture and repair of hydraulic cylinder components for the mining industry, Akaliko Global is a leading supplier of aftermarket components and services. About the Role

We are looking for a skilled tradesperson with experience in fitting, machining and welding, ideally with a background in hydraulic cylinder and suspension component repairs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate robust technical ability, attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship, safety and teamwork.

While experience in all areas listed below is desirable, we are willing to provide relevant training to the right applicant. If you have a solid trade background, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, we encourage you to apply.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

- Trade qualification in Fitting and Machining, preferably Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.

- Conventional machining experience, including operating lathes and milling machines.

- Welding experience.

- Experience in stripping, assessing, repairing,



rebuilding and testing hydraulic cylinders and suspension components.

- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality assurance, quality control (QA/QC) and high standards of workmanship.

- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and assist in training and mentoring less experienced staff.

- Own hand tools appropriate to the role.

- Excellent housekeeping practices and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and organised workplace.

Desirable Skills and Experience The following additional skills and qualifications will be highly regarded:

- Internal diameter (I.D.) welding, MIG and TIG welding experience.

- Current forklift licence.

- Senior First Aid certificate.

- Experience interpreting OEM service information, technical documentation, breakdown information and parts identification.

- Familiarity with major mining equipment manufacturers, including Caterpillar (CAT), Komatsu, Hitachi and Liebherr.
