Bonjour! We’re looking for our next extraordinary team member to join our Food & Beverage team as a Food & Beverage Attendant – Atelier by Sofitel, supporting our buffet breakfast and dinner services at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour.

Atelier by Sofitel is a celebrated dining destination, proudly recognised as a Two-Hat restaurant for four consecutive years, where exceptional food, warm hospitality and thoughtful service come together. You’ll play an significant role in delivering seamless buffet breakfast and dinner services, from welcoming guests and maintaining impeccable buffet presentation to anticipating guest needs and ensuring every dining experience reflects Sofitel’s standards of luxury and service.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly and deliver attentive, personalised service throughout their dining experience.
- Assist with the setup, operation and breakdown of buffet breakfast and dinner services.
- Maintain buffet presentation, ensuring food displays are clean, well-stocked, organised and inviting.
- Monitor buffet levels and coordinate with the Culinary team to ensure timely replenishment of food items.
- Clear,



clean and reset tables efficiently to maintain a welcoming dining environment.
- Take and deliver beverage orders, ensuring accuracy and timely service.
- Respond to guest enquiries regarding menu items, ingredients, dietary requirements and available offerings.
- Communicate guest requests, dietary needs and feedback to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across the restaurant, service stations and buffet areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and responsible service procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
- Assist with mise en place, service preparation and closing duties to ensure the restaurant is ready for each service.
- Work collaboratively with the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to deliver smooth and efficient operations.
- Identify opportunities to personalise guest interactions and exceed expectations through thoughtful service.
- Handle guest concerns professionally, escalating matters when required.
- Support hotel promotions, special dining experiences and operational requirements as needed.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture.

About You You’re a passionate hospitality professional who enjoys connecting with people and creating memorable dining experiences. You bring a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and an understanding that exceptional service comes from attention to detail, teamwork and genuine care for guests.

You bring:

- Previous experience in a Food & Beverage, restaurant or hospitality role, ideally within a hotel or high-volume dining environment.




- A genuine passion for guest service and a commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- An understanding of restaurant service and buffet operations, including setup, replenishment and presentation.
- A keen eye for detail and pride in maintaining clean, organised and welcoming dining spaces.
- The ability to remain organised, adaptable and composed during busy breakfast and dinner services.
- A collaborative approach and the willingness to support colleagues across the wider Food & Beverage team.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine willingness to learn and develop.
- The ability to work a rotating roster, including early morning starts, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- A current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency card.
- Full Australian working rights.
