About the Role

Looking for work that fits around your lifestyle? We're seeking a friendly and reliable Food Service Attendant to join our Catering team across West Perth and Leederville. This role plays an important part in delivering quality meal services that enhance the wellbeing and dining experience of our residents.

This is a varied day shift position working primarily between 11:00am to 2:00pm, making it ideal for someone who enjoys shorter shifts in the middle of the day. This opportunity is available on part-time basis across our Leederville and West Perth sites. Working closely with the Chef Manager and Hotel Services Manager, you'll assist with meal service, food preparation, kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the preparation, storage and distribution of food and beverages for residents
- Support meal service and ensure resident dietary requirements are followed
- Maintain adequate stock levels of kitchen supplies, crockery, cutlery and consumables




- Perform dishwashing and general cleaning duties within kitchens and dining areas
- Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures in line with food safety requirements
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and infection control
- Report concerns relating to food services, equipment or resident wellbeing
- Work safely and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

About You

Essential

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to follow procedures and food safety requirements
- Reliable and flexible approach to work

Desirable

- Experience in hospitality, catering or food service
- Certificate III in Hospitality
- Experience in aged care or healthcare
- Knowledge of food safety practices

Mandatory Requirements

- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Australian working rights
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience
