Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced GCP Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, provisioning, automating, managing, and optimising cloud infrastructure while ensuring security, scalability, reliability, and high availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Provision and manage GCP services, including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Load Balancing.
- Create reusable Terraform modules and manage Terraform state files and remote backends.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Implement cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routing, VPN, and connectivity.
- Configure IAM roles, service accounts, security policies, and access controls.
- Integrate Terraform with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues,



and optimise cloud costs.
- Implement logging, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps, platform engineering, security, and application teams.

Required Skills

- Solid hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Terraform modules, state management, remote backends, and workspaces.
- Strong understanding of GCP networking, IAM, Compute Engine, GKE, and cloud storage.
- Experience with Git, version control, and CI/CD automation.
- Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, logging, and cost optimisation.
- Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience in troubleshooting and managing production cloud infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Terragrunt, Ansible, or other infrastructure automation tools.
- Experience with GitOps and policy-as-code tools.
- Relevant GCP certifications.
