Role Description This full-time on-site General Practitioner role is based at Schotters Road Medical Centre in Melbourne, VIC.

The General

Practitioner will provide primary care consultations, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical examinations, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting investigations, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role involves collaborating with nursing and administrative staff, participating in care planning, and contributing to continuous improvement in clinical quality and patient experience.





The General

Practitioner will also engage in health promotion, preventive care, and follow-up for patients to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Medicine and Primary Care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of a broad range of conditions.
- Experience in Family Medicine, with a focus on holistic, patient-centred care across the lifespan.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Nursing and other clinical staff to deliver coordinated care.
- Commitment to Training and ongoing career development, including supervision or mentorship where appropriate.
- Relevant medical degree and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the appropriate medical board in Australia.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a respectful and inclusive approach to patients and colleagues.
- Experience working in general practice or primary care settings; familiarity with bulk billing and electronic medical records is desirable.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with sound clinical judgment and attention to detail.
