TAG – Talent Acquisition Group is currently recruiting Export Freight Handlers to support a busy international freight and logistics operation based at Melbourne Airport.
We are seeking reliable, enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
With ongoing evening shifts available, this opportunity may suit individuals looking for work that fits around study, other commitments or those seeking to gain experience in the aviation and logistics industry.
Previous freight or warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
About the Role
As an Export Freight Handler, you will assist with the processing and movement of international outbound freight, ensuring shipments are handled safely, accurately and within operational deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sorting, scanning and processing outbound freight.
- Loading and unloading parcels and shipments.
- Preparing freight for export and dispatch.
- Ensuring shipments are correctly labelled and allocated.
- Performing manual handling tasks using safe work practices.
- Working efficiently to meet time-sensitive export deadlines.
- Maintaining a clean,
organised and safe work environment.
- Following aviation security and operational procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting.
- Availability Monday to Friday, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
- Ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role safely, with reasonable adjustments where applicable.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to meet the applicable aviation security and onboarding requirements.
- Valid Australian working rights permitting the required roster.
Aviation Security Requirements
This position requires a full red Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) before commencement.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain the required ASIC and successfully complete all relevant pre-employment and security checks.
