Responsibilities:

- Food preparation for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon snack
- Safe food handling for allergic/anaphylactic children
- Meal plating and service and taking to classrooms
- Kitchen cleaning and dishwashing
- Cleaning of office, staffroom, foyer and other areas if needed
- Cutting of varied meats
- Food safety and hygiene procedures
- Positively promote and market the centre to families and the community
- Be an advocate of the Montessori Method to parents and potential clients
- Respect and support colleagues by developing positive and ethical channels of communication that are based on principles of mutual respect,



equity and fairness
- Attend meetings as requested
- Become familiar with Montessori Academy Policies and Procedures

Key Competencies:

- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
- Strong understanding of the importance of family communications
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard
- Commitment to the holistic development of their class
