The Chance
Gorilla Jobs is seeking a Locum Orthopaedic Surgeon to support orthopaedic services in regional Northern NSW.
This role is ideal for a consultant, staff specialist or VMO wanting a change of scene alongside meaningful surgical work, with travel, accommodation and a hire car included so you can try regional life without moving.
You will deliver trauma and elective surgical care, take part in consultant rosters and supervise registrars. Work may include outpatient clinics, operating lists and 24-hour on-call shifts, depending on location and schedule. Ad hoc and block shifts are available for upcoming dates.

Clinical Environment
• High-volume trauma and fracture caseload, with procedural variety and complex presentations
• Modern, well-equipped theatres with dedicated nursing and anaesthetic support
• Collaboration with ED, inpatient and allied health teams for holistic orthopaedic management
• Supervision and mentoring of registrars and junior doctors in a strong teaching culture
• Meaningful contribution to regional hospitals, where your expertise supports underserved communities

Requirements
• Current AHPRA Specialist Registration
• Fellowship with RACS (Orthopaedic Surgery) or equivalent
• NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Willingness to complete onboarding and credentialing
