This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands group training and can balance apprentice support, compliance and commercial performance.

About ARRA Group

We connect people with opportunities across construction, manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, resources and business administration. We work closely with apprentices, trainees and host employers to support practical learning, qualification completion and ongoing employment.

The role

You will oversee the day-to-day operation and development of ARRA’s GTO services, ensuring apprentices and trainees receive quality training, appropriate supervision and consistent support throughout their employment.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading apprentice and trainee recruitment, onboarding, placements and ongoing support.

- Building relationships with host employers and developing recent placement opportunities.

- Managing host agreements, training contracts and GTO compliance requirements.

- Working with RTOs, Apprentice Connect Australia Providers and the Apprenticeship Office to monitor training progress and resolve issues.

- Coordinating host transitions and redeployment to maintain employment and training continuity.

- Overseeing mentoring, wellbeing support and early intervention where apprentices are at risk of disengaging.

- Supporting culturally safe workplaces and meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants.

- Managing program budgets, host charge rates, funding claims and operational reporting.

- Leading and developing the GTO team.

- Contributing to tenders, proposals and business development.

About you

You will bring

- Demonstrated experience managing a GTO or leading substantial apprenticeship and traineeship programs.

- A sound understanding of GTO standards, training contracts, host employer arrangements and the WA apprenticeship system.

- Experience managing apprentice welfare, workplace concerns and training progression.

- The ability to build trusted relationships with employers, training providers and industry stakeholders.

- Experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander apprentices and delivering culturally responsive services.

- Strong leadership, financial management and reporting skills.

- A practical approach to solving problems and following matters through.

- A current driver’s licence and willingness to visit host workplaces.

Relevant qualifications in business, training, human resources or a related field will be well regarded.

Why join ARRA?

This role offers the chance to shape the development of ARRA’s GTO services, work directly with our leadership team and make a meaningful contribution to apprentice careers and industry capability.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, builds strong relationships and cares about the outcomes behind each placement.
