Senior Systems Analyst / Delivery Lead | Network Security Infrastructure

12-month contract with potential extensions

Altitude Recruitment is partnering with a large Federal Government agency to find a Senior Systems Analyst (Project and Delivery Lead).

You will lead complex gateway and network security infrastructure projects that protect services millions of Australians rely on every day. This role is open to candidates based in Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide, with a hybrid working arrangement. You will need to live within reasonable travel distance of the office so you can attend onsite when needed.

- 12 month contract starting January 2027, with extensions up to 24 months
- EL1 equivalent
- Australian citizens able to obtain NV1 security clearance (existing Baseline or NV1 highly regarded)

What you’ll do:

- Lead gateway and network security infrastructure projects end to end, from planning through implementation, transition and closure
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and suppliers, setting priorities and keeping delivery on track
- Manage schedules, scope, risks, issues, dependencies and change control
- Analyse current-state systems, interfaces and operational impacts to shape the right implementation approach




- Lead production transition and operational readiness, including handover, support models and knowledge transfer
- Support major incident and problem management, coordinating investigation, communication and recovery
- Produce explicit reporting and briefing material for technical, business and executive stakeholders

What you’ll bring:

- Extensive experience leading complex gateway, firewall, proxy or network security infrastructure projects in a large organisation (government experience highly regarded)
- Strong systems analysis skills across services, dependencies, interfaces and implementation options
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Solid project governance experience covering schedules, resources, risks, issues and reporting
- Experience working within formal change, release, incident and problem management processes (ITIL or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including talking points and project documentation
