Head of Solutions & Technical Sales
Sydney | Full time A fast growing global manufacturer of solar and battery storage products is building out its Australian leadership team. The brand already has solid momentum in the residential and commercial market, and the next step is a senior technical leader who can turn great products into winning solutions for customers.
Your focus
You will lead the pre-sales and solutions function in Australia. That means shaping system designs and technical proposals, supporting the sales team on key deals, and being the technical voice of the brand in front of installers, distributors and commercial customers. You will also work closely with product and engineering teams at headquarters, feeding back what the local market needs.
Day to day
Leading and growing a team of solution and pre-sales engineers
Designing PV and battery solutions for residential and C&I; customers and preparing technical proposals
Joining sales on key accounts and helping to close the larger opportunities
Running product training and technical sessions for partners and installers
Making sure products and solutions meet Australian standards and grid requirements
Working with headquarters on product roadmap, localisation and technical support
You will likely have
Seven or more years in solar, inverter or battery storage, in pre-sales, solutions engineering, application engineering or technical sales
Hands-on knowledge of residential and C&I; PV and storage systems, and of Australian standards and grid connection rules
Experience leading a technical team, or ready to step up into the role
Fluency in English and Mandarin, so you can work with Australian customers and with colleagues at headquarters A commercial mindset and confidence presenting to customers
