From our warehouse and refurbishment workshop in Altona North, Melbourne, we source, refurbish, sell and deliver commercial-grade strength and cardio equipment to customers across Australia.

Our business runs on a set of connected systems: an e-commerce website and online store, inventory and stock tracking, sales and customer communication tools, an internal staff portal, workshop and refurbishment scheduling, parts and supplier purchasing, and freight and dispatch. We continue to invest in these systems to support our people and our customers. We are currently looking for an experienced ICT Business Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. As we are a small, hands-on business, this role works directly with every team – management, sales, workshop, warehouse, logistics and purchasing – to understand how work is done, specify what our systems need to do, and see solutions through to delivery. This is an on-site role based at our Altona North warehouse and workshop.

Key Responsibilities: Work with users across sales, workshop, warehouse, logistics, purchasing and management to formulate, document and analyse business and system requirements. Identify, investigate, and analyse business processes across the full order lifecycle – enquiry and quote, payment, refurbishment, dispatch and after-sales – and recommend improved business practices and system functionality. Review and evaluate existing systems, including the e-commerce website,



inventory and stock tracking, sales and customer communication tools, and freight and delivery pricing, to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and integration opportunities.

Prepare requirements specifications, functional specifications, user stories, process maps and data models for use by developers, vendors, and platform providers. Consult with users, developers, and external vendors to design and deliver improvements to the functionality of the company website and online store, including product catalogue, pricing, stock availability and ordering. Analyse and specify inventory system requirements so that equipment and parts are accurately tracked from intake through refurbishment to sale and dispatch.

Analyse supply chain and parts-sourcing processes and specify how systems should capture and use supplier, purchasing and parts data. Use project management methodologies to plan, cost, resource and manage ICT projects, monitoring progress and communicating risks and issues to management. Take responsibility for deploying solutions, including creating and carrying out system test plans, coordinating user acceptance testing and managing implementation.

Create user and training documentation and train staff in recent and changed systems. Analyse sales, inventory and logistics data and prepare reports and dashboards to support informed business decision-making. Act as the central point of reference for the company’s business systems, advising on system decisions based on business requirements,



and ensuring ICT security and data privacy requirements are reflected in system specifications.

Qualifications &

Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent). Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an ICT Business Analyst or similar role. Proven ability in requirements gathering, process modelling and technical documentation.

Sound understanding of the software development life cycle and Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a small team, and with staff at all levels of the business.

Experience working with e-commerce and content management platforms, such as WordPress and WooCommerce.

Experience analysing and specifying integrations between business systems and working with databases and reporting tools, including working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL for data analysis and reporting. Working knowledge of JavaScript, sufficient to interpret existing code and specify enhancements to our internal staff portal for developers.

Experience in a small business environment, covering the full cycle from requirements gathering through to deployment and user training.

Experience in a retail, warehousing or logistics environment is desirable.
