Control Unlimited is a family-owned electrical and electronics manufacturing business specialising in control and automation systems for the agricultural industry across Australia.

Since 2002, we've designed, manufactured, installed and supported automated grain storage systems, industrial control systems and custom electrical cabinets for agricultural applications nationwide.

Our work combines industrial electrical, automation, PLC-based control systems, three-phase motor control, generator integration and custom-built switchboards.

About the Role

We're looking for a qualified Electrical Fitter Mechanic / Industrial Electrician to join our team based in Toowoomba.

This is a hands-on role offering a varied mix of workshop-based electrical work and on-site installations across regional Queensland and Northern NSW. The balance between workshop and field work will vary depending on the projects we have underway.

You'll be involved in the manufacturing, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning of electrical control and automation systems used throughout the agricultural industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Electrical assembly and wiring of custom control cabinets and switchboards
- Workshop-based testing, fault finding and system preparation
- Installation and commissioning of industrial control and automation systems
- Three-phase motor control and generator integration
- Servicing, maintenance and technical troubleshooting
- Regional in office installation and commissioning projects





This role suits someone who enjoys practical problem-solving, variety in their work and developing their skills in industrial automation.

About You

We're open to applicants from a range of electrical backgrounds, including industrial electricians, agricultural electricians, recently qualified tradespeople or domestic electricians looking to transition into industrial and automation work.

To be considered, you'll need:

- Current QLD Electrical Licence
- White Card
- Current driver's licence

Experience with industrial control systems, switchboard manufacturing, motor control or PLCs would be advantageous, but isn't essential. We're happy to invest in developing the right person. A good attitude, sound electrical fundamentals and a willingness to learn are just as important to us as previous experience.
