About the Role

As an Intermediate Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting client engagements, preparing financial and tax deliverables, and contributing to advisory projects. You’ll work closely with senior team members to develop your technical skills, build client relationships, and gain exposure to a wide range of accounting and business matters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare accounting and tax compliance work across a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Collaborate closely with clients to provide meaningful insights, improve business performance, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, forecasts, and advisory deliverables that add real value at an operational level.
- Work within FYI Docs, Business Fitness Active Workpapers, Xero, XPM, and BGL Systems (CAS360) - training provided where needed.
- Contribute ideas and become a champion in areas of interest, whether that’s business processes, software, or systems.

About You





You’re a motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take the next step in your career. You enjoy mentoring others, working closely with clients, and thinking strategically.

You’ll bring:

- At least 2-3+ years accounting experience in a multi-partner firm.
- Completed your CA/CPA journey or nearing completion.
- Have experience with compliance for businesses and family groups, including:
- Preparation of interim and year-end financial accounts
- Preparation of Income Tax Returns for Individuals & Companies
- Preparation of quarterly BAS Statements
- Exposure to consulting/advisory services such as budget preparation, management reporting and external CFO services
- Knowledge of tax issues affecting private groups, including the application of Division 7A to both companies and trusts
- Full Working Rights in Australia
- Living and working in Melbourne
