$69-$76 p/h + Super In Office Work Environment An exciting opportunity is available for an IT Governance and Policy Officer to support the Office of the CIO within a public sector environment. This role will support IT governance, policy and compliance activities while coordinating governance committees, executive reporting and stakeholder engagement processes.

Your new role

Working within the Office of the CIO, you will play an important role in supporting effective IT governance practices and ensuring key governance documentation, policies and processes are maintained and reviewed appropriately.

Your responsibilities will include

- Coordinating IT governance committees, meetings and associated documentation.
- Providing secretarial and administrative support for IT governance and executive-level forums.
- Conducting research and analysis to support executive communications, reporting and recommendations.
- Coordinating the review and maintenance of IT governance policies, procedures and other key documentation.
- Providing advice and guidance relating to governance, policy, compliance and relevant IT practices.
- Supporting stakeholder engagement and communication activities, including collecting feedback and sharing relevant business and technical information.
- Liaising with leadership stakeholders to follow up actions, issues and risks.
- Supporting continuous improvement of governance processes, systems and ways of working.
- Maintaining appropriate records and handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Applying information security and assurance principles across governance, policy, risk and compliance activities.





The position supports initiatives that operate across executive boundaries and assists with the coordination of strategic and operational activities across the ICT environment. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Experience supporting IT governance processes, committees and/or executive functions .
- Demonstrated experience researching and analysing information and providing practical recommendations within a complex setting.
- Experience developing, reviewing and maintaining policies, procedures and governance documentation .
- Knowledge of IT governance, risk, compliance, quality management, information security and/or IT service management practices .
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with leadership and specialist stakeholders.
- The ability to coordinate meetings, reporting, actions, issues and risks in an organised and timely manner.
- An understanding of information security and assurance principles as they relate to governance, policy, risk and compliance.
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- A focus on continuous improvement, including identifying opportunities to improve governance processes and ways of working.

The role is expected to commence ASAP , with free onsite parking available. Working from home is not available during the initial six-month engagement.
