About the role

As Junior Property Manager, you'll work alongside our Senior Property Manager to keep the Townsville portfolio running smoothly. You'll get hands-on with the operational side of property management while our Sydney-based Relationship Managers handle all landlord communication. It's a role built for learning and growth. You'll build your skills across every part of property management, with the support of an experienced Senior Property Manager, smart tech and a national team that has your back.

Key responsibilities

- Support the Senior Property Manager with on-the-ground tasks across the Townsville portfolio, including leasing, open homes, routine and entry/exit inspections, maintenance and arrears
- Coordinate maintenance requests with tenants and contractors, and follow jobs through to completion
- Prepare inspection reports, condition reports and lease paperwork accurately and on time
- Build positive relationships with tenants and contractors to ensure smooth operations
- Keep the Senior Property Manager and Relationship Managers updated on key property matters so they can communicate with landlords
- Help maintain full compliance with Queensland tenancy legislation
- Use our digital systems, including an owner portal, tenant app, and direct payment workflows, to simplify your day

About you

- Queensland Real Estate Registration Certificate (Office of Fair Trading) would be highly regarded but not essential
- At least 1 year of experience in property management,



real estate or a role requiring strong people skills and the ability to balance competing priorities under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
- Explicit communicator who is eager to learn and thrives in a collaborative national model
- Tech-confident and adaptable
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle for local travel and inspections
- Willingness to grow toward a full Property Manager role, including obtaining additional registrations, with costs covered by Rentnest
