Junior Desktop Engineer – TechBar Support

Location: Melbourne, VIC – Fully onsite, 5 days per week

Contract role until January 2030

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Desktop Engineer to provide in-person TechBar support to end users in Melbourne. You will troubleshoot device and application issues, assist with day-to-day technical queries, and help ensure a smooth workplace technology experience.

This is a fully onsite role requiring attendance at the central office five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide face-to-face TechBar and desktop support to end users.

- Troubleshoot hardware, software, device and application issues.

- Assist users with technical queries and workplace technology problems.

- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical teams.

- Deliver a positive and customer-focused support experience.

Required Skills and Experience

- Basic desktop support and troubleshooting knowledge.

- Good understanding of Windows devices and common business applications.

- Strong customer service and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.





- Willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical skills.

Desirable Experience

- Exposure to endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, JAMF or SCCM.

- Awareness of endpoint security tools and practices.

- Previous experience in TechBar, walk-up or service desk support.

Soft Skills

- Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.

- Transparent communication and problem-solving abilities.

- Adaptability and willingness to learn.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
