About the role

XTec Gen Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our team in Woodville North, South Australia. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our laboratory operations and contributing to the success of our scientific and technical initiatives. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be at the heart of our laboratory environment, ensuring that all testing, analysis, and technical procedures are conducted to the highest standards.

This role is essential to maintaining the quality and integrity of our work whilst supporting our team and technical professionals.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated, clean and in optimal working condition

- Conduct routine laboratory tests, analyses and technical procedures according to established protocols and standard operating procedures

- Collect, process and analyse samples with accuracy and attention to detail

- Record and document all laboratory activities, results and observations in a clear and organised manner

- Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards

- Support the setup and breakdown of laboratory experiments and technical procedures

- Assist senior laboratory staff and scientists with their research and analytical work

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory facilities and work areas

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and laboratory protocols

- Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures

What we're looking for

- Experience working in a laboratory environment, with demonstrated competency in laboratory techniques and procedures

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex protocols and standard operating procedures accurately





- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively

- Competent computer skills and the ability to accurately record and document laboratory data
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory safety, hygiene and cleanliness

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- The ability to work independently whilst also supporting and assisting colleagues when required
- A reliable and skilled approach with strong time management capabilities

- Desirable: Previous experience in a similar laboratory setting or with specific analytical techniques relevant to the role
