Renowned for its award-winning equity research and extensive regional network, the Group offers a comprehensive range of financial services spanning institutional equities, asset management, corporate finance, capital markets and wealth management.

We are seeking an up-and-coming Small Cap Equity Research Analyst who will be responsible for providing lead coverage of various small-cap companies within the Australian listed market, with the prospect to broaden their research coverage across general industrials within the small-cap sector. The analyst will provide stock recommendations based on thorough analysis, financial models, company and industry insights. The analyst must be able to present and market effectively, externally to fund managers and clients and internally to institutional sales and sales traders.





The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sector and a passion for investment research and markets in general.

We welcome applicants currently working in small-cap research (sell-side or buy-side) and encourage ambitious research associates with a minimum of 5 years’ experience who feel they are ready to step up to lead coverage to apply also. We are particularly interested in analysts looking to broaden their sector exposure across general industrials and take greater ownership of research coverage. We are looking for candidates with a passion for the smaller end of the market and its dynamic nature who possess strong analytical and financial modelling skills alongside writing insightful company research.

Requirements

- 5–8 years’ experience as a research associate or lead analyst, or alternatively as an investment analyst within funds management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of financial modelling and spreadsheet analysis
- Ability to work under pressure when required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of commercial awareness
