Gundagai Meat Processors (GMP) is a progressive meat processing business owned and operated by the Barton family in Gundagai, NSW. The modern plant is conveniently located halfway between Sydney and Melbourne on the Hume Highway in the beautiful foothills of the Snowy Mountains, which is a prime lamb growing region.

We are seeking a motivated Livestock Senior Supervisor to join our dynamic team in contributing to the continued growth and success of the GMP business. We currently have opportunities in our stock receival yards for reliable and committed candidates who are looking for an ongoing career working with livestock.

Reporting to the Production Manager the role of Livestock Senior Supervisor will -:

- Adhere to all animal welfare, WHS and production standards and practices.
- Leading a small team.
- Completing required animal welfare reporting in accordance with company policies and industry best practice.
- Use the Triton livestock system to record stock data.
- Receive stock safely and humanely.
- Feed & Monitor animal health/welfare.




- Complete a receival sheet and populate in an accurate and timely manner.
- Deliver a high level of reporting skills at all times.
- Carry out general yard duties
- General housekeeping of lairages and surrounding areas.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills:

- Be able to follow and comply with workplace policies and procedures
- Valuable communication skills
- Be able to work well as part of a team
- Be able to manage and lead a team
- Q-fever vaccinated (or willingness to get).
- Intermediate computer skills
- Previous livestock handling experience
- Positive “can do” attitude
