About the Role:

Reporting to the CFO, the Management Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, project and job profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance insights across the organisation. The role provides financial leadership of the job costing function and works closely with Sales, Project Management and Operations to support informed decision-making and drive commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Overseeing end-to-end job costing, from job set-up and invoicing to variation management and margin analysis




- Preparing monthly management accounts and analysing performance against budget and forecast
- Driving month-end revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations and WIP/cost variance reporting
- Partnering with Sales, Project Management and Operations to improve project profitability and pricing outcomes
- Managing Accounts Receivable and fixed assets
- Supporting annual budgeting, forecasting and year-end reporting processes

Skills and Experience:

- 3+ years as a Management Accountant or in a similar commercial finance role within a medium-to-large organisation
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- Exposure to the agricultural industry highly regarded
- Strong end-to-end job costing experience
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems, with the ability to drive process automation and transformation
- High level of integrity, sound judgement and a hands-on approach suited to a energetic, family-owned business environment
