The Operation

Our client operates an established iron ore mining operation in Western Australia, with ore processed through an in office Ore Handling Plant before being transported by rail to port for export.

They are looking to add an experienced Mechanical Fitter to their fixed plant maintenance team, with the position focused primarily on the crushing and ore handling circuit.

The Role

- The role is focused on mechanical maintenance of the Ore Handling Plant.

- General planned and breakdown maintenance across the Ore Handling Plant

- Maintenance, inspection and repair of jaw and cone crushers

- Fault finding and rectification of mechanical issues

- Maintenance of associated fixed plant and materials handling equipment

- Work closely with operations and the wider maintenance team to maximise plant availability

Experience Required

- Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification





- Previous fixed plant maintenance experience within mining or mineral processing

- High risk license - EWP and CN desirable

- Experience completing planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance

- Strong fault-finding capability

- Current Australian driver's licence

- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

Crusher experience is essential for this position. The requirement is specifically for a Mechanical Fitter with hands-on maintenance experience across both jaw and cone crushers, rather than predominantly mobile plant experience.
