About the Position

We are seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team in a permanent part time or full-time position, working between 18 and 38 hours per week.

Working hours are rostered between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Applicants must be available to work on Thursdays and Fridays during these hours.

Previous reception or customer service experience is highly regarded. Medical reception experience is advantageous but not essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Greeting patients and managing front desk enquiries
- Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
- Managing emails, scanning, filing and data entry
- Processing Medicare claims, EFTPOS payments and receipting
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Liaising with healthcare professionals




- Assisting with general reception and administrative duties
- Maintaining patient confidentiality

Pay and Conditions Adult permanent hourly rates range from $27.00–$30.00, depending on experience, duties and classification under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 (MA000027).

Junior employees under 21 years of age will be paid the applicable Award junior rates based on age and classification.

This position is offered on a permanent part-time or full-time basis, with an initial six-month probationary period.
