Red Vend focuses on reliable service, workplace convenience, safety compliance and technology-enabled machine monitoring to ensure vending facilities remain clean, stocked and operational around the clock.

Red Vend is seeking an experienced, reliable and motivated Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join their transport team in Newman, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of trucks, trailers and heavy diesel vehicles, including providing on-road breakdown assistance. They are looking for a safety-conscious professional with strong diagnostic skills who can work independently and help keep the fleet operating safely, efficiently and reliably.

The annual salary for the full-time Mobile Diesel Mechanic is $80,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform on-road breakdown repairs and provide emergency mechanical assistance.
- Service, repair and maintain trucks, trailers and heavy diesel vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical,



engine and vehicle faults.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, routine servicing and safety inspections.
- Identify mechanical issues and minimise vehicle downtime.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in a safe, roadworthy and operational condition.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and relevant road transport regulations.
- Travel as required to provide mobile mechanical support.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

- Demonstrated experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably working with heavy vehicles.
- Relevant mechanical trade qualifications and practical experience.
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage on-road repairs effectively.
- Current driver's licence; a heavy vehicle licence will be highly regarded.
- Good communication, time-management and organisational skills.
- A reliable, flexible and safety-focused approach to work.
- Willingness to travel as required and respond to breakdowns when necessary.
