About the role

As the National Manager – General Insurance Investigations, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing OIS Global’s general insurance investigation services nationally. You will play a key role in ensuring investigations are delivered to the highest standards of quality, professionalism, timeliness and evidentiary integrity, while supporting the continued growth and development of the business.

This is a senior national leadership role requiring extensive investigative experience, strong judgement and the ability to lead teams, manage operational performance and maintain strong client relationships. Working closely with senior management, investigators and key clients, you will drive service excellence, continuous improvement and consistent investigative standards across Australia.

Based in New South Wales or Victoria, the role will have national responsibility, with travel required as necessary to support clients, investigators and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and oversee general insurance investigation services nationally, ensuring consistent quality and service delivery.
- Manage investigative workflows, investigator resources, case progress and client deadlines.
- Review investigative reports and supporting evidence to ensure accuracy, quality and evidentiary integrity.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with insurers, claims managers, legal representatives and key stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor and develop investigators, promoting accountability and professional standards.
- Monitor operational performance, reporting quality,



compliance and service delivery against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen investigative capability and support business growth.
- Manage complex or escalated matters and provide operational guidance and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure investigations comply with relevant legislation, privacy obligations, evidentiary requirements and OIS Global standards.

Skills and experience We are seeking an experienced investigations professional with strong leadership capability, sound investigative judgement and a commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for clients.

The successful candidate will possess:

- Demonstrated experience in general insurance investigations, particularly factual investigations.
- Proven leadership or management experience, with the ability to develop teams and manage operational performance.
- Strong understanding of workers’ compensation, public liability, motor vehicle and insurance-related investigations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience reviewing investigative reports and evidence.
- Strong client relationship management, organisational and problem-solving skills.




- Knowledge of relevant Australian legislation, privacy obligations and evidentiary requirements.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Certificate III in Investigative Services and an appropriate Private Investigator Licence, or willingness and eligibility to obtain where required.
- Current Police Check and Working With Children Check, or eligibility to obtain where required.

Experience working with insurers, claims managers and legal professionals will be highly regarded. Exposure to surveillance, fraud investigations or digital intelligence will also be advantageous.
