Wise Healthcare is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support to a participant in Ipswich, Queensland. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence and wellbeing, and supporting the participant in a safe, respectful, and professional manner.

The successful applicant must have experience supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs, including verbal aggression, racially abusive language, sexually inappropriate language, self-harming behaviours, threats towards staff, and physical aggression. The ability to remain calm, apply appropriate de-escalation strategies, maintain skilled boundaries, and follow behaviour support plans and safety procedures is essential.

Applicants must demonstrate strong communication skills, patience, reliability,



and a commitment to providing high-quality disability support. Relevant qualifications, NDIS Worker Screening clearance, First Aid and CPR certification, a driver’s licence, and a National Police Check will be required as applicable to the role.

The position is based in Ipswich, QLD, with rostered support potentially required across all seven days of the week. Shift arrangements and commencement dates will be confirmed with the successful applicant.
