Nongshim Australia - Assistant Accountant (Korean speaking)

About us Nongshim is a leading food and beverage company that has been shaping Korean culinary culture since 1965. In 2014, Nongshim Australia was established in Sydney, one of the key markets in the Southern Hemisphere, bringing the bold and spicy flavours of Korea to local customers.

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Macquarie Park. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end processes, reconciliations, and accounts management, while working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Accounts Receivable: Manage customer accounts, prepare AR reports, analyse ageing balances and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- General Ledger: Perform GL reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are resolved in a timely manner.




- Month-end Closing: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Compliance and Audit: Assist with tax compliance and statutory reporting, prepare supporting schedules and documentation for external financial audits, and assist with internal audit requirements as needed.

Skills & Experience

- Experience with SAP will be highly regarded.
- 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong multitasking and organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- A proactive attitude and a solid team-oriented approach.
