The Housekeeper is responsible for routine cleaning and housekeeping across accommodation, bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, common areas and other facilities at Manjedal Adventure Centre. The role also assists with preparing facilities before customer arrivals and following departures.

This is a part time position working 2 regular days per week, with the possibility of additional days during busy periods, depending on operational requirements and availability. The role is classified under the Recreation and Leisure Stream – Grade 1 of the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award 2020.

Key responsibilities include:

- Cleaning accommodation, bathrooms, toilets, kitchens and shared facilities.

- Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, fixtures and high-touch areas.

- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and undertaking general floor cleaning.

- Preparing accommodation and facilities before customer arrivals and after departures.

- Undertaking routine laundry duties where required.

- Replenishing amenities, consumables and cleaning supplies.

- Keeping cleaning equipment and supplies organised and serviceable.

- Supporting additional cleaning following events and high-use periods.

- Identifying and reporting maintenance, damage or safety issues.

- Using and storing cleaning products, chemicals and equipment safely.

About you

You will be someone who takes pride in maintaining clean and well-presented facilities, can work independently and is comfortable completing practical and physical work.

You will bring:

- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience, or demonstrated ability to undertake routine cleaning duties.

- Good attention to detail.

- Ability to follow cleaning schedules, checklists and procedures.

- Ability to organise your work and complete tasks within required timeframes.

- Ability to safely use cleaning products, chemicals and equipment.





- Good communication skills and the ability to report issues requiring attention.

- Ability to undertake the physical and manual handling requirements of the position.

- A current manual driver’s licence.

- A current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain them.

Experience working in accommodation, hospitality, recreation, tourism, education, camps or a similar environment would be an advantage.
