About the role

We are seeking a professional, organised and adaptable individual to join a small private team providing nursing care, personal assistance and household management for an elderly gentleman based in Main Beach, Gold Coast. This is a unique and varied position, combining clinical nursing responsibilities with personal assistant duties, household management and lifestyle support. The successful applicant will work alongside another Nurse/Personal Assistant to ensure the smooth running of daily life while providing attentive, personalised care and support.

Our client maintains an active social and professional lifestyle, including regular domestic and international travel. As such, the position requires someone who is flexible, resourceful, discreet and comfortable adapting to changing schedules and environments. This is a live-in position operating on a rotating roster, requiring 24-hour presence during rostered shifts, including overnight availability.

Key Responsibilities

Nursing and Personal Care

- Conduct daily observations, health monitoring and skin assessments.

- Monitor blood glucose levels and administer prescribed insulin and medications.

- Monitor for signs of clinical deterioration and escalate concerns appropriately.

- Liase with family and healthcare team for reporting of general health and concerns.

- Assist with mobility and general physical wellbeing.

- Perform wound care and dressing changes if required.

- Coordinate medical appointments and communicate with healthcare professionals.

- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records.

Household Management and Housekeeping

- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout the residence.

- Undertake general and detailed household cleaning.

- Manage laundry and general household upkeep.

- Private chef on site Monday-Friday, who also prepares meals for weekends. Will just need to heat & serve prepped meals on weekends. Some simple breakfast cooking required.





- Welcome and assist guests, including hosting and hospitality duties.

- Coordinate tradespeople, contractors and property maintenance.

Personal Assistant and Lifestyle Support

- Manage diaries, appointments, correspondence and emails.

- Coordinate domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodation and transfers.

- Make restaurant reservations and organise social engagements.

- Assist with technology, including emails, television, video conferencing and online meetings.

- Accompany the client to appointments, meetings, social engagements and events.

- Assist with planning and coordinating private functions and events.

- Provide administrative and organisational support as required.

- Work collaboratively with the other team member to ensure continuity of care and roster coverage.

About you

- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse.

- Current Australian driver's licence.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

- Strong communication, time management and organisational skills.

- Competence in medication administration, clinical monitoring and documentation within professional scope of practice.

- Confidence using computers, email, calendars and general technology.

- Willingness and ability to undertake domestic and international travel.

- Flexibility to work a rotating live-in roster, including overnight stays.

- A high level of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
