About Our Pharmacy Department

Our team comprises 23 pharmacists, 3 pharmacy interns, 8 pharmacy technicians, 2 summer pharmacy students, and an administrative assistant.

Our clinical pharmacists are currently rostered to rotations of varying duration in:

- Day Oncology (with some in office chemotherapy manufacturing performed in our aseptic/cytotoxic suite),
- Subacute/Rehabilitation/Geriatric Evaluation & Management,
- Medical Ward (2 pharmacists)
- Surgical Ward, Operating Theatre & Paediatric Ward (2 pharmacists)
- Inpatient Mental Health Unit,
- Intensive Care Unit,
- Emergency Department (including partnered pharmacist medication charting),

Our 3 pharmacy interns take responsibility (under pharmacist supervision) for services delivered to Day Surgery, Maternity/Special Care Nursery & Dialysis Units, and all 3 are supported by an AHPRA-approved Pharmacist Preceptor and early career pharmacist mentors. The clinical pharmacy team and Pharmacy Leadership Team are supported by the full time Medication Safety & Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist (which you'll take on part of for a 12-month period) and 1 day/week by our Education & Research Unit's Pharmacist.
