Our business is built on innovation, integrity, and a deep connection to the land, and we are committed to continuous improvement in everything we do – from paddock to plate.
About the role
This is a current opportunity to join our Injury Management team and provide physiotherapy services across Harvest Road Group, with a clear focus on injury prevention, early intervention and safe return to work. Rather than waiting for injuries to happen, you’ll help address musculoskeletal risk at the source through screening, treatment, training and ergonomic design.
Based at our Harvey site, you’ll work closely with our Health and Injury Management Coordinator and Group Injury Management Business Partner, contributing to lower lost-time injury rates and claim costs. You’ll also support our Agribusiness and Oceans teams through telehealth and site visits, helping us apply one consistent approach to injury management across every division.
Where you’ll make an impact
- Pre-employment screening - Complete functional and musculoskeletal assessments against role-specific physical demands, provide clear, defensible fit-for-role recommendations to hiring managers and our People team, and track pre-existing risk trends to inform onboarding and placement.
- Onsite treatment and early intervention - Treat work-related musculoskeletal complaints within your scope of practice, triage soft-tissue injuries early to prevent escalation to compensable claims, and escalate cases needing external medical management to the Health and Injury Management Coordinator and Group Injury Management Business Partner.
- Manual handling training - Deliver training to current starters, existing workers and refresher cohorts across all divisions, review high-risk manual handling tasks and recommend control improvements, and coach supervisors and team leaders to reinforce safe technique on the floor.
- Task Risk Assessments - Assess physically demanding tasks across processing, aquaculture, agribusiness and trades, quantify physical demands (force, frequency, posture and duration), identify practical controls using the hierarchy of control, and record findings in our TRA register and track close-out.
- Ergonomics - Assess workstations, plant and processes across office and operational settings, recommend practical, cost-effective changes that reduce strain and fatigue, and help our capital project teams build ergonomic principles into new plant and process design.
- Job Task Dictionaries - Keep our Job Task Dictionaries current as roles, equipment and processes change, and work with People Team so Position Descriptions match them.
- Reporting - Report to the Group Injury Management Business Partner on caseload, trends and risk indicators across all divisions, contribute physiotherapy data to monthly WHS and People reporting, and maintain clinical records to AHPRA, APA and HRG privacy standards.
What you’ll bring to our team
