Viper Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Plastics Technician to join our manufacturing team in Hughenden QLD.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and optimizing plastic extrusion machinery used in the production of polyethylene (PE) pipes and water management products while ensuring quality, efficiency and compliance with Australian Standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, calibrate and operate plastic extrusion equipment.
- Monitor and adjust production parameters to meet product specifications.
- Troubleshoot processing and equipment issues.
- Conduct product testing and quality inspections.
- Perform tooling and product changeovers.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Support process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.

Skills and Qualifications





- Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualification in Plastics Technology, Polymer Technology, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; or
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in plastics manufacturing and extrusion processing.
- Experience with PE, HDPE or similar thermoplastic materials.
- Solid process troubleshooting and quality control skills.
- Pipe extrusion manufacturing experience highly regarded.

Salary range is $75,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
