Robert Half is partnering with a growing, multi-entity business to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Manager for a pivotal leadership role within finance.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on AP leader who enjoys working in the detail while also driving structure, process improvement and team capability. This role will take ownership of the accounts payable function across multiple divisions and play a key role in strengthening controls, improving workflows and supporting business-wide centralisation initiatives.

The Opportunity

This is more than a traditional AP management role. You will lead a sizeable team across onshore and offshore operations while helping shape a more structured, scalable and strategically aligned AP function.

This newly created position is a outstanding opportunity for a leader to focus on process ownership, controls, performance and continuous improvement.

You will oversee a high-volume AP environment across multiple entities, with further plans to centralise additional businesses onto the same ERP platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end accounts payable function across multiple divisions
- Lead and develop a blended team of onshore and offshore AP staff
- Create greater structure, consistency and accountability across AP processes
- Strengthen payment controls, approval workflows and supplier master data governance
- Personally troubleshoot complex invoice, supplier payment and system issues
- Support payment runs, reconciliations and month-end activities as required
- Drive process improvement initiatives, focusing on root cause resolution rather than short-term fixes




- Help centralise AP processes across newly integrated and future business units
- Manage creditor days and support working capital outcomes
- Partner with finance, operations, procurement and leadership to improve discipline and performance across the purchase-to-pay cycle
- Contribute to ERP and automation-related improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced AP professional who brings a strong blend of technical capability, leadership and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will offer:

- Proven experience leading an accounts payable function in a high-volume, multi-entity environment
- A hands-on approach, with the ability to roll up your sleeves and solve problems directly
- Strong process improvement capability and the ability to introduce structure in a growing environment
- A leadership style that empowers, develops and lifts team capability
- Confidence managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining control integrity
- Strong reconciliation, troubleshooting and systems skills
- Experience managing or partnering with offshore teams will be advantageous
