Contract Administrator - Commercial Construction

Location: Melbourne, VIC

About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Contract Administrator to join one of two growing commercial construction builders in Melbourne.

1 role being focused on the education space (schools) builds

1 role being focused on apartment (multi-storey resi) builds

Working alongside an experienced project team, you'll play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from procurement through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated CA looking to take ownership of projects, develop their commercial expertise and build a long-term career within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage head contracts and subcontractor agreements.

- Prepare, review and negotiate subcontractor packages.

- Oversee progress claims, variations and payment schedules.

- Monitor project costs, budgets and financial reporting.

- Assist with procurement, tendering and subcontractor management.

- Identify and manage contractual risks and commercial issues.

- Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.

- Assist with final accounts, claims and project close-out.

About You





- Previous experience in a Contract Administrator role within commercial construction.

- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.

- Experience managing subcontractor packages, variations and progress claims.

- Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.

- Robust commercial awareness and attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced project environment.
