Due to an upcoming period of leave, they are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team on a contract basis, providing key support across financial reporting and day-to-day accounting operations.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be primarily responsible for the following:

- Manage month-end close activities relating to expense accruals, leases and rent, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Prepare and present financial reports and insights to senior management to support business objectives and decision-making.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;), External Reporting and external auditors, to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective accounting controls.
- Partner with the budgeting and forecasting team to review expenses and perform variance analysis, comparing actual results against forecasts.
- Work closely with operational stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve financial performance and cost efficiency.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes,



systems and reporting to enhance accuracy, efficiency and overall effectiveness.

Your Skills & Experience

- Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance, with CA or CPA qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting role, ideally within a complex or quick-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP will be highly regarded.
- Strong experience using complex ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse, interpret and manipulate large data sets.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
