Project Lead – Structural Engineering

Perth, WA | Full time | Major Building Projects An exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer ready to step into a project leadership role with a highly regarded, design-led engineering consultancy.

Next Executive is partnering with an established and growing structural engineering consultancy with an impressive portfolio of significant residential, commercial, mixed-use and high-rise developments across Australia.

With a strong pipeline of major projects in Perth, our client is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Project Lead – Structural Engineering to take ownership of project delivery and play a key role in managing relationships with clients, builders and consultants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and seeing projects through from design to construction.

The Opportunity

Working alongside highly experienced structural engineers and technical leaders, you will be responsible for:

- Managing the day-to-day delivery of structural engineering projects across significant building developments.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, builders, architects and project stakeholders.
- Coordinating structural design documentation and multidisciplinary consultant inputs.
- Managing RFIs, site queries and construction-related design issues.
- Attending site meetings, inspections and project coordination workshops.




- Coordinating engineering and drafting resources to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Providing practical, commercially considered solutions throughout the design and construction process.

About You We are particularly interested in speaking with Structural Engineers who have:

- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Ideally 5–7+ years' experience in structural engineering, predominantly within the building sector.
- Experience delivering structural packages for commercial, residential or multi-storey developments.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging directly with builders, architects and clients.
- Experience coordinating projects through design, documentation and construction.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.

Experience with high-rise developments, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete or steel structures will be highly regarded. Importantly, you don't need to have managed large teams or held a Project Lead title previously.
