The Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong focus on client satisfaction, based in Canberra alongside the project client. You'll handle day-to-day communication with the client, keeping the work aligned to project goals, and act as the project management link between the project office and the client.

You'll plan and oversee project delivery against quality, budget and schedule expectations, keep the client informed of progress and concerns, and coordinate cross-functional teams to keep everyone moving together.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop project plans covering tasks, timelines and resource requirements, and oversee their execution
- Monitor and control project activities to meet quality, budget and schedule expectations
- Keep regular communication with the client, give progress updates and address concerns
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to keep work aligned to project objectives
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate project documentation, plans and reports

Required





- Minimum 5 years' related project management experience
- Strong planning, organisation and coordination skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practice
- Demonstrated experience delivering acquisition activities within the Defence Capability Life Cycle workplace
- Project management qualification, ideally a bachelor degree, highly regarded

- APS6 to EL1 equivalent
