- Nationally recognised, highly successful, expanding Company
- Be the first in-house CPV in a brand-new valuation division
- Real influence, with direct access to senior leadership
- Six-figure base plus commission or profit share, with no earnings ceiling
- CBD base, mostly work from home
Our Client
Our client is an established property services business, with one of the best reputations in the market. Operating for over 20 years, they have been incredibly successful, have a huge network of happy clients and B2B referrers, and most importantly have a stable, well-cared-for and well-humoured team of professionals who are passionate about what they do! The Opportunity
With the changes to Australia’s property tax landscape resulting in 2.5 million properties requiring specialist valuations, they are looking to leverage their reach, resources and industry relationships to start a property valuations division, and are therefore looking for their first in-house CPV to drive this start-up arm.
The Role
From day one, you will help shape the systems, standards and team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to key commercial and operational decisions and help determine what this part of the business becomes.
- Deliver residential valuations, initially focused on capital gains tax, with scope to expand into retrospective valuations, first use to produce income, deceased estates/probate, SMSF, related-party transfers, transfer duty and pre-sale/pre-purchase advice
- Prepare and, where appropriately qualified, sign off independent valuation reports
- Assess when a desktop valuation is suitable and when an inspection, additional evidence or specialist input is needed
- Work with the QS team to factor in renovation, improvement and property information
- Help develop report templates, procedures, review controls,
turnaround standards and record-keeping practices
- Collaborate with management, administration and external valuation partners to deliver a consistent client experience
- Contribute to service development and capacity planning and, over time, mentor additional valuation staff
About You
- You will have an entrepreneurial nature, and be a real go-getter
- Current Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) status
- 5 years residential valuation experience (commercial experience is advantageous)
- Be process-driven & able to work independently
- Have professional integrity, robust communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Experience in team management will be viewed with preference
Why You Want It
- Influence: help shape a business rather than slot into an established production team
- Progression: potential to grow into a broader leadership role as the service expands
- Earning potential: a competitive base plus a performance-linked incentive, with no ceiling
- Flexibility: mostly work from home (in-person meeting once a week)
- Security: this is a solid business in expansion mode – no redundancies here!
